Warranty Information

New Furniture, Appliances, Mattresses & Other Items

All new furniture, appliances, mattresses and other items sold by Goodman Creek Furniture & Appliance are covered by the original manufacturer’s warranties as provided with the items. These warranties can have periods between 12 months for most furniture, home decor items and general appliances, to 5 years extended warranties on some mattresses and specific appliance parts.

Most manufacturer warranties cover mechanical breakdown, seam separation or other manufacture defects. Most manufacturer warranties will not cover other damage such as misuse, electrical surge, water damage, staining or other items not directly related to a simple failure of the item.

For new appliances, customers should complete the warranty card information provided with the appliance, or online submission. To ensure that the appliance warranty is registered with the manufacturer. All repair requests should be submitted directly to the manufacturer.

For furniture and other items, customers should contact the store directly to have their concern addressed. Customers will be asked to submit photos and information about the problem. If a repair by the manufacturer is warranted, the customer will have to make arrangements to have the item returned to the store for repair. Per most manufacturers, transportation to return the item to the store is not covered by the warranty.

Refurbished/Used Appliances

Goodman Creek warranties all refurbished/used appliances for a period of 30 days from date of purchase. This warranty allows our customers to know their appliance is in working order when purchased.

Service Area/Process

If a customer experiences a covered malfunction within the 30 day period from purchase, they should contact the store immediately to report the issue and schedule to have the appliance serviced. For customers within four standard delivery area, that have had their appliance delivered, a service technician will be scheduled to make an in home repair visit. For customers outside of our local service area, and those that did not have their appliance delivered, the appliance must be returned to the store for service. Any customer within our local delivery area that did not have their appliance delivered and wishes to have their appliance serviced in home, they may do so by paying a $45 service fee at the time of scheduling the service.

Goodman Creek will make every effort to repair appliances within a reasonable timeframe. All customers should be aware that some repairs may take additional time due to parts availability.

What is covered?

The 30 warranty covers mechanical failure of an appliance. A mechanical failure is defined as any failure of the appliance to perform its normal function such as a refrigerator or freezer not cooling, dryer not turning or heating, washer not filling or spinning, range not heating or other failures of an appliance to perform under normal circumstances.

What is not covered…

Certain items are not covered by our 30 day warranty that include misuse by a customer, ice makers, damage from improper transport by a customer, electrical surge, issues relating to dryer/appliance venting or airflow, improper connection, damage from household pests or pets, damages related to customer initiated repairs or other problems that are not directly related to a failed part originally supplied with the machine.

Goodman Creek maintains the sole discretion to determine if an appliance issue is related to a normal failure or that to which we would not cover under the 30 day warranty. Ancillary damages from the failure of any appliance are not considered the responsibility of Goodman Creek Furniture & Appliance.

Replacement Policy

In the event that an appliance is determined to be unrepairable, Goodman Creek Furniture & Appliance may proved the customer with a opportunity to select another items from available inventory comparable in price. The option to replace an items is at the sole discretion of Goodman Creek and will not be offered until we have had an opportunity to have the item serviced by our technician.
